Whole House "Big Blue" Sediment Filters

Our sediment filters are made of fine polypropylene that has been melted and spun to form a cylinder. The main function of a sediment filter is to remove both small and large particles such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles from the source water. Each cartridge is individually shrink-wrapped, meets Universal Industry Standards and is compatible with all standard whole house filter housings. Contains no binders, agents, solvents, antistatic materials or wetting agents.

A Gradient Filter? How does it work?

Outer Layer - large particles like sand and dirt is captured while smaller particles proceed deeper into the next layer. This process helps prolong the lifespan of the filter and prevent losing water pressure in the system.

Middle Layer - finer filtration than outer layer - captures finer materials like rust and silt.

Inner Layer -  the highest level of filtration for filtering even the tiniest particles.

Compatible housings: almost all of the well known big blue, clear and white housings.

Filtration Lifespan: 6 to 12 months, depending on the quality of the raw water. Shelf Life : 5 years if kept out of direct sunlight.
